Pilates to Build Core Strength, Enhance Flexibility and Heal

Joseph Pilates, a German physical trainer, invented Pilates during WW I and referred to his core-building movements as “contrology.” Even though this type of exercise was created by a man, it has been primarily women who have embraced the regimen. Today many more men are learning about Pilates’ ability to build core strength, enhance flexibility, heal, and prevent injuries and are combining other forms of strength training for greater health benefits.
