"PJ" has been a Personal Trainer for more than ten years. As the founder and owner of Work Hard. Train Harder. Fitness, LLC, he guides his clients to achieve their maximum fitness capabilities. After leaving Atlanta, where he was born and raised single-handedly by his mother, PJ moved to New York City to pursue a degree in architecture at the New York City Institute of Technology.
Though he worked in the field for several years, Paul soon ventured out to pursue his true passion: fitness. He started small, first training friends. Soon after, he began to build his clientele, working with homeschooled children between the ages of 5-12. PJ introduced his students to the many life-nurturing aspects of fitness and encouraged them to overcome their fears by facing them.
He also worked with students at a local high school, coaching junior varsity basketball and acting as an advisor to a student mentoring group in Harlem. What PJ enjoys most of all is working closely with people to help them achieve their goals.

What form of exercise do you teach?
Among the High Interval Intensity Training (HIIT) that you will participate in, I also specialize in Strength Training, Weight Management, and Sports Specific Training.
What does your exercise do for you - outside and inside?
HIIT is an amazing workout that enables you lose weight, build muscles, and boost your metabolism all while pushing you out of your comfort zone and making you feel good!
What is your favorite inspirational or motivational quote?
You must go through short-term pain to reach long-term gains!
What's your favorite reggae song? What does it mean to you?
My favorite Bob Marley song is “Get Up Stand Up”. The rhythm always seems to move me, and the lyrics keep reminding me that I need to advocate for my rights.
How can our natural world help bring people closer to their true natures?
Nature is freedom. It’s a constant reminder that the sky is the limit!
How can exercise make us stronger human beings, better able to connect with others and embrace everyone's right to thrive?
Fitness and exercise is our “Fountain of Youth,” it helps us feel young, increase life longevity, and is a unique bonding tool. It’s one of the few ways in which color, ethnicity, and class doesn’t seem to affect us, but brings us together.
Why is it important for us to connect with other human beings?
Interactions with the rest of the world is must to foster growth within oneself as an intricate part of the whole.
